The project “Mother and Child Days” was designed to address the immediate primary healthcare, nutrition, and proper hygiene-related needs of the returnees. The project ensures access to basic health, nutrition, and hygiene information and services that meet the national and internationally recommended minimum standard of care for the population affected by the emergency. To reach out to the maximum number of returnees the program was implemented in close collaboration with UNICEF under the overall support and guidance of the National Program for LHWs. The covered Union Councils were Gagra, Dewana Baba, Shalbandai, Makhrani, Nawagai, Koga, Noreezi, and Rega.
