Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) For Food Insecure Disctricts

Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) for Food Insecure Districts (Buner and Shangla) from June 2010 – December 2010. The project was a joint venture of the UNICEF and RAHBAR to implement the Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM). The Project aimed to address the issues related to malnutrition in children and PLW and in order to prevent and reduce the incidence of moderate and severe acute malnutrition among them. RAHBAR carried out the CMAM activities in ten Union Councils of each District Buner and Shangla.

RAHBAR worked for the rehabilitation of the people of Chagharzai in District Buner who were greatly affected with thunderous heavy rains that demolished their houses and were displaced. The people of the area were provided with food and relief items besides construction material to rebuild their houses. These activities were successfully carried out and completed in collaboration with the IPRP-SDC-IC.
